CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

Intro to Asana - New Six Week Series:

Instruction for beginners.
No prior experience necessary. Introduction to fundamentals of alignment and philosophy thru fundamentals of the Iyengar Method. Please note that Intro must begin no later than second class.

Beginner:

For beginners that have taken Intro to Asana or are familiar with Asana practice.

Continuing:

For advancing students. Inversions and backbends will be introduced.

Intermediate:

For students whom have taken continuing Asana and teachers of Yoga. Pranayama techniques introduced.

Qi Gong/Meditation:

This practice trains the vital force (Qi). This class will give methods to conserve your vital force and to grow it. The practice incorporates a series of slow movements, which then circulate the vital force throughout the body. Benefits include: enhancement of health, enhanced longevity, creativity, mental clarity and emotional and mental stability.

Meditation will begin directly after the Qi Gong class. Learn to uncover the Source of your quiet self. Learn to process and remover destructive patterns of thought and attachment to emotion. Sessions are ongoing. It is acceptable to come late and or leave early

You may start your classes anytime. Notify the teacher that you intend to come.

Do not eat before your Yoga class for at least 1 hour.

Wear comfortable clothing, a tee shirt and shorts or leggings are good. Please be prepared to have bare feet.

Arrive 10 minutes early for check-in and set-up.

You may enter on Brewster Avenue or from the parking lot in the back of the building.

Cash or checks accepted for payment.
